“We can now renounce the mechanistic view of the world. The metaphysics of the object is obsolete. With joy we can once more legitimately ask the question of Being.”
Bernard d'Espagnat
For many centuries scientific progress seemed to be in opposition to the traditional visions of the great religions of humanity but then a phenomenal upheaval occurred: from the infinitely small to the infinitely large, from life sciences to the science of consciousness, a new vision of the world began to emerge and reopened philosophical and metaphysical perspectives that we thought were closed. It appears there is more compatibility with the existence of a meaning and a plan for the existence of the Universe. This real possibility of uniting reason and faith is one of the great hopes for rebuilding a unified vision of man for the 21st century.
